Tour Moments of Joy: Stage 20 – #CiccoPimpa

I have so much respect for a rider that wants to be King of the Mountains. Someone who rides day after day racking up points. Someone who has his whole team on board. Someone who embraces the #fullpolkapox style with such verve. Someone who has the biggest smile when they clinch those bonifications. This year that someone is Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek) and that’s why he’s my Moment of Joy for Stage 20 of the Tour de France.

Tour Moments of Joy: Stage 19 – The eloquence of an emotional Matej Mohoric

Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious) won a two up sprint by a whisker against Kasper Asgreen (Soudal Quick-Step) on a fast and furious Stage 19 of the Tour de France. Those are bare bones of an incredible, full gas, GO GO GO day of breathless racing – seriously find the highlights  you won’t regret it. However, my moment of joy is Matej’s post race interview.

Tour Moments of Joy: Stage 18 – The Quartet that Dared

There is NOTHING I love better than a daring breakaway smashing the odds and breaking the dreams of the sprint teams and that’s EXACTLY what happened in Stage 18 of the Tour de France. It took all four of the breakaway riders to keep the fast men at bay but only one could win. That honour went to Soudal Quick-Step’s Dane Kasper Asgreen. My moment of joy is for the quartet that dared and won.
