Chris Froome said his yellow jersey would “stand the test of time”, but we also had Peter Sagan with a green wig and beard and Nairo Quintana covered in pox. Chris, Kathi and Tim look back wistfully at the 100th Tour de France and ponder life without a daily dose of roadside cows and sweeping aerial shots of chateaux.
With Chris off riding a couple of small hills in the Alps, Kathi and Tim mull over the middle week of the 100th Tour, as Saxo-Tinkoff put the wind up Sky, Kittel threatened to take Cav’s sprint crown, Froome spun his crazy cartoon legs on Mont Ventoux and everyone rocked out to AC/DC.
Listen here (apologies for the slightly dodgy audio quality):
After an exciting and unpredictable opening segment of the 100th Tour, Chris, Kathi and Tim discuss a week which brought us ‘Bus-gate’ and the shocking collapse of Team Sky – which we’ve christened Skyfall – on the 007th day of the 007th month. (See what we did there?)
