Giro d’Italia 2016: Stage 3 – Kittel brings the vitesse to Arnhem

Marcel Kittel (Etixx-QuickStep) secured his second win in this year’s Giro with a brutal display of power in a late sprint that saw him over the line a good few bike lengths ahead of the rest of the race. Team Sky picked up second place with Elia Viviani, while Giacomo Nizzolo of Trek-Segafredo came in third. As expected, the win put Kittel into the maglia rosa, the first German to wear it in 10 years.

Vuelta Stage 10: Sbaragli snatches famous win for MTN-Qhubeka

First Steve Cummings did it at the Tour de France. Then today Kristian Sbaragli delivered a stage victory at the Vuelta for everyone’s favourite underdog team, MTN-Qhubeka. He held off John Degenkolb for the win on a largely incident-free day for the GC contenders who, along with everyone else, will be grateful for the respite of tomorrow’s rest day.
