Vuelta a Espana 2020 : Stage 2 – Soler doesn’t hold back; Roglic extends lead

It was Stage 2 of the Vuelta a Espana and, like yesterday, the riders were not hanging around. Lots of attackity action, fast riding on the front and a solo victory that came out of a cheeky attack from the red jersey group. Movistarlet Marc Soler rode to a fine solo win, while Primoz Roglic wasn’t giving anything away to the rivals around him and picked up extra seconds as he sprinted for second.

Giro d’Italia 2020 : Stage 17 – Second time lucky for O’Connor

It was a day of climbing and one where Stage 16’s disappointed second placer took his chance again. This time, Ben O’Connor showed the NTT jersey proudly as he went over the finish line first and alone. However, once again, the GC rivals left the maglia rosa in peace except for a tiny flutter in the last few hundred metres that made no difference at all to the overall standings.
