VeloVoices Podcast 153: The conference call

With an understandable lack of racing to discuss, Kathi, Luke and Euan gather virtually and chat about a wide range of cycling subjects.

We discuss which cyclist we’d want to be in quarantine with, some of our all-time cycling favourites and those days of racing which are just burned into our memories.

Regular listeners will be delighted to hear that, despite no racing we’ve still got space to discuss things like Richie Porte’s Grand Tour career, Thibaut Pinot winning things and Philippe Gilbert’s all-round awesomeness.

Once you have a listen you might want to watch some of the races we remember. I mean, most of us have a bit more time on our hands right now don’t we?

Luke picked the stage 7 of 2010’s Giro d’Italia

Kathi went for stage 15 of 2015’s Tour de France

Euan went back to 1998’s Tour de France, stage 14

VeloVoices Podcast 152: There will be tweets….

Kathi, Midge, Luke and Euan pick through the action and dissect the racing that has actually happened in the much-changed past couple of weeks.

  • Did anyone really win The UAE Tour?
  • Wasn’t it great to have cobbles, climbs and filthy weather for Omloop?
  • What really stupid thing has got Kathi and Midge’s blood boiling?
  • The return of the Big Mitt™
  • And Paris-Nice serves up a rip-roaring open stage (unless you’re French or Richie Porte)

We also look at how the Coronavirus situation has affected the cycling world, the mystery of the 4th floor and reminisce about the good old days of 2010.
