We’re still in the Southern Hemisphere but on the western side … yes, we’re in San Juan for the first of the South American races. Fan favourites Peter Sagan and Julian Alaphilippe are riding, but it was a surprise sprint winner for Stage 1.

Israel Start-Up Nation kicked off the Vuelta a San Juan in style, with Rudy Barbier taking the first leader’s jersey.
There was a crash near the end of the stage, which Remco Evenepoel was involved in, but he’s okay …
