The long parcours made for a brutal women’s race. It really did come down to one imperious display, two 40 kilometre rides of distinction and a rainbow podium of three fantastic solo efforts.
Day six and the spotlight fell on the U23 men, where some slick Swiss precision teamwork led to rainbows for Marc Hirschi.
Day five and the juniors took the World Championships by the scruff of the neck and made them their own. Austria celebrated a home win and the Belgian prodigy struck again. WHAT – A – DAY – OF – RACING!!
