The past two weeks of racing have been full gas – and we loved every minute of it … well, except for Euan, who took an Eeyore-like attitude towards a certain cobbled classic… With the welcome return of Panache and his Thomas De Gendt mancrush, the banter was electric as Midge went full-Dane, Kathi made wild yet compelling claims of Tom Boonen‘s hand in Peter Sagan‘s Roubaix win and Euan got downright effervescent over Itzulia.

Late on Sunday night, our cycling family received the news we had all hoped we would never hear. Verandas Willems-Crelan announced the death of their rider Michael Goolaerts after a cardiac arrest sustained at Paris-Roubaix. He was just 23 years old. All our thoughts are with those who knew and loved him.
He was a young man doing the job he loved. Let us remember him this way.
