Spicy, fizzy and feisty GC action as Team Sky double down.
Vuelta a Andalucia St 2, Otura to La Guardia de Jaén, 140km
The first summit finish produced a GC ding dong with more spice than a dish of patatas bravas. Team Sky’s Wout Poels kicked away in the final 500m, leaving Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana) and Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal) to take 2nd and 3rd respectively. There are no bonifications in this race, Poels holds the race lead by 2secs. I hope this attacking bravado continues!

Volta ao Algarve St 2, Sagres to Fóia, 187.9km
If the action was spicy in Spain it fizzed on the slopes of Foia as Michal Kwiatkowski made it win number two for Sky. Teammate Geraint Thomas rode to third and into the race lead. Bauke Mollema was the Trek filling in the Sky sandwich.
