Another wet day, another tricky finish and another win for the World Champion – his 99th!!!!
BinckBank Tour Stage 3: Brankenberge to Ardooie, 186km
Peter Sagan (BORA-hansgrohe) mastered the sketchy, wet finish at Ardooie to take his second stage of the race. Always in the right place at the right time, the World Champion laid down the power to hold off Trek Segafredo’s Edward Theuns and Rudy Barbier (Ag2r- La Mondiale). Stefan Kung (BMC) finished safely to retain the race lead. Sagan’s 10sec bonus moves him to 4th at +5secs on the same time as Sunweb’s Tom Dumoulin in third.
