A TT day when the early birds most definitely caught the worms.
BinckBank Tour Stage 2: Voorburg to Voorburg, ITT, 9km
Stefan Kung (BMC) showed his TT class with a powerful display to take stage victory and the race lead from BORA-hansgrohe’s Maciej Bodnar and home favourite Tom Dumoulin (Sunweb). The tactic of finishing near the back of the peloton on stage one paid off as the weather worsened from damp roads to downright waterlogged and very slippery. Kung now leads the race by 4secs from Bodnar and 5secs from Dumoulin. Peter Sagan (BORA-hansgrohe) put in a heck of ride in appalling conditions to limit his losses and now stands 8th and only 15secs adrift.

Great shot of the World Champ

The weather certainly impacted the race and there was no denying it was treacherous. There were incidents and accidents, fortunately none that were too serious.
and after the race…
