Tour of Poland Stage 5: Olimp Nagawczyna to Rzeszów,130km

Danny van Poppel finally claimed the top step of the podium after a short, explosive stage when the break nearly made it. A crash in just before the flame rouge left a group of 11 to fight for the win. The Sky rider just edged out Luka Mezgec (Orica-Scott) with Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe) taking more bonus seconds in third. Sagan’s lead in GC now extends to +14secs over BMC’s Dylan Teuns

Vuelta a Burgos Stage 2: Oña  to Belorado, 153km

Quick Step Floors delivered Matteo Trentin with pace and precision for the win. The birthday boy had more than enough to beat Adam Blythe (Aqua Blue) with Tim Areisen rounding out the podium for Roompot – Nederlandse Loterij. Mikel Landa finished safely in the bunch and retains his lead in GC.
