Team Sky made all the plays in the finale and Michal Kwiatkowski was easily the quickest of the 5 riders that bowled into town to contest the finish. Tony Gallopin (Lotto-Soudal) and Trek-Segafredo’s Bauke Mollema were second and third respectively. Sheree has the lowdown on all the action with her race review here.

Tour of Poland Stage 1: Krakow to Krakow, 130km
He might be sporting a new shaven-head look but BORA-hansgrohe’s Peter Sagan has clearly lost none of his sprinting prowess since his DQ from the Tour. The World Champion made it look easy against a fast-finishing Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) with Sky’s Danny Van Poppel rounding out the sprint podium. A crash in the closing metres looked nasty but thankfully all riders were able to finish.
