Giro Tweets of the Week: RAF hair, chest writing and kangaroos in underwear

It was a hectic, crazy week at #Giro100 … so there’s nothing better than a hectic, crazy Tweets of the Week! We have the Wolfpack, kangaroos in underwear, a romantic rider, Dutch rules and some great hair. Plus, Peter Sagan as Mary Berry and more!

Team time

The teams really seem to love the Giro – and looks like Quick-Step are *the* team of the Giro. Just look at those stats! And we have a week to go …

Posing with kangaroos in underwear – hot pink underwear – is just one of those things you do when you’re on the Orica-Scott team.

Sticker fun with the BMC boys (I’m really disappointed I didn’t get one of those sticker books …)

Victor Campenaerts might not have won the ITT on Tuesday, but hopefully he got a date – especially since he was fined for his display of lurve. The UCI thought it brought the sport into disrepute. >snort of derision< Really? THAT brings the sport into disrepute?! Maybe if he’d written it on the side of a jiffy bag…

Interesting cushion choice on the Cannondale bus.

Luckily, the Sunweb team bus came back for Simon Geschke – Tom needs him!

One more reason why they should have little kids presenting the prizes – they’re not tall enough to be in danger when Big Tam is on the podium.

Adam Hansen had a crash on Saturday and hurt his hand – but that didn’t stop him from starting on Sunday.

It’s a double-elbow sprint from Bob Jungels.

For some reason this picture really charms me.

Dutch rules

Tom Dumoulin is stamping his authority on the Giro – and it’s rather marvellous.

While we have another Colombian superstar in the making …

Hair of the Giro

There has been some epic hair this week – Tom Dumoulin, Bob Jungels, Fernando Gaviria in the Giro and one Zdenek Stybar in ATOC.

Seriously, Zdenek looks so clean cut – I think he and Bob Jungels look like RAF pilots from the Second World War. Spiffing, old boy, spiffing!

Goin’ Cali

The greatest showman of them all

This is going to disturb you for days to come.

Looks like That Boy Phinney is doing his impersonation of a pirate, while there’s the kid in the background …

The last word
