Santos Women’s Tour: Sprattie springs surprise

Amanda Spratt (Orica-Scott) made her race-winning move on Stage 1 when she won by a margin of 19 seconds to take the blue leader’s jersey and continue the domination of Australian riders and/or teams in this race. It was pretty much job done, game over. Queen of the Mountains, 21-year-old Janneke Ensing (Canyon Sram) was runner-up, with winner of the two sprint stages Kirsten Wild (Cylance) rounding out the podium.

Tour Down Under: #youngdudes stage two update

This Santos Tour Down Under we’re following neo-pros Ruben Guerreiro (Trek-Segafredo) and Lennard Hofstede (Sunweb) in their first WorldTour race and we’ll be talking to them about their experiences as the race unfolds. In Tuesday’s heat-shortened sprint stage 1, both riders had team-mates who placed in the top 10. And one of them donned the white jersey at the end of today’s stage 2!  Continue reading
