Chris Froome and Team Sky raced to an impressive stage victory with real verve – not a mountain train in sight! The Sky leader whisked the leader’s jersey away with a full elbows attack that only former team mate Richie Porte (BMC) could follow. Orica-GreenEDGE’s Adam Yates took a brilliant third. Alberto Contador (Tinkoff) drops to third on GC with 27secs separating the podium and two massive mountain stages to come.
