Stage Two, Crêches-sur-Saône to Chalmazal-Jeansagnière, 168km
Movistar’s Jesus Herrada put it in the big gear and surged past the breakaway metres from the line. Tony Gallopin (Lotto- Soudal) finished a disappointed second and Serge Pauwels (Dimension Data) rounded out the podium. All the GC contenders made it home in the chasing pack some 2secs after, except for poor Romain Bardet (Ag2r) who tangled with a team mate on the run in and lost 45secs.
