Whoa… it’s a whole load of racing in our Final KM. Let’s get straight down to it.
Fleche Wallonne Feminine, Huy to Mur de Huy, 137km
Anna van der Breggen (Rabobank-Liv) made it two wins in two years. Her attack on the penultimate climb took her clear with Evelyn Stevens (Boels-Dolmans), and a further surge on the Mur de Huy gave her a solo victory. Stevens held on for second place with team mate, Megan Guarnier claiming the last podium step.
One to watch…
Good to see…

Fleche Wallonne, Marche-en-Fammene to Mur de Huy, 196km
Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) made his trademark late surge to claim an historic fourth win on Mur de Huy. Just like last year the runner up was Etixx-Quick Stepper Julian Alaphilippe, with his team mate Dan Martin rounding out the podium.
The Huy can be a cruel mistress, but sometime she smiles kindly…

Giro del Trentino St 2, Arco to Anras, 220km
Mikel Landa (Sky) took back all the seconds he lost on the TTT yesterday with a storming solo win on the uphill finish to Anras. The Basque rider pulled out all the stops finishing 4secs ahead of Sergey Firsanov (Gazprom-RusVelo) with Nippo-Vini Fantini’s Damiano Cunego – remember him?- taking third. Landa takes the leader’s jersey by 10secs from Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) – [quite giddy now].
Oops.. somebody get an iron quick!
Hoping for more of this…

Tour of Croatia St 2, NP Plitvice to Split, 240km
Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data) took the victory on a really dicey run to line, which saw riders on the ground after two roundabouts and tight bend in the final kilometre! Trek-Segafredo’s Giacomo Nizzolo was second with the Manx Missile‘s wing man Mark Renshaw securing third. Cav will wear the leader’s jersey on stage 3.
