It’s a bobby dazzler of a round up today. There’s Peter Koning‘s dramatic solo win for Drapac at TDSL. While in Australia we have a resurgent Simon Gerrans (Orica-GreenEDGE) victory, and a fan who saved Tyler Farrar’s day. Read on…..
Stage 3, Santos Tour Down Under: 139km Glenelg to Campbelltown
It’s safe to say Simon Gerrans is BACK. A superbly judged ride up and down Corkscrew saw him take the win from Rohan Dennis (BMC) and Cannondale’s Michael Woods. It was soooo close, but enough to see the Orica man take the race lead by three seconds from Jay McCarthy (Tinkoff).
Heart-warming story of day has to be this. Read Tyler’s piece at the Peloton Brief for the full story. #Chapeau
Stage 3, Tour de San Luis: 131km Potrero de Los Funes to La Punta (Cabildo)
Out in the break all day, neo-pro Koning just kept pedalling to take a brilliant solo win, and the race lead by six seconds from the man in second place Fernando Gaviria (Etixx-Quick Step). Travis McCabe (Holowesko Citadel) rounded out the podium.

How awesome for Tyler and that fan! That is just too cool. Not a bad parting gift too!
