Final KM: TDU stage 1; TDSL stage 1

Action today is brought to you by the letter A: Australia for the Santos Tour Down Under and Argentina for the Tour de San Luis. With a blistering sprint finish and a crazy team time trial, the opening stages really could not be any more different.

Stage 1, Santos Tour Down Under: 130km Prospect to Lyndoch

With a devastating turn of speed the first WorldTour win of the year goes to Orica-GreenEDGE pocket rocket Caleb Ewan. Watch it from the overhead shot in the video, he really lights it up in the last few metres. Mark Renshaw (Dimension Data) and Wouter Wippert (Cannondale) got up for second and third, great results for their new teams.

Stage 1, Tour de San Luis: 21km El Duranzo

Meanwhile in Argentina, the GC hopefuls were starting out with a long team time trial. Etixx-Quickstep were both silky smooth and swift. Posting the fastest time and putting local hero Ariel Richeze [Richeze is at Etixx ?? Wow, I really need to catch up] into the leaders jersey in his home tour. Movistar were second (+0.08) and Astana rounded out the podium only 17 seconds adrift. With the mountains to come Don Nairo and Nibbles are sitting pretty. We guarantee you will love the commentary on this one.
