Final KM: Giro stage 3; ATOC stage 2

Yesterday’s Giro stage* had Tinkoff working on the front all day, seemingly to safely deliver OGE’s maglia rosa to the finish line for a blingin’ win.

Here are the highlights:

From the Italian coast to the California sunshine, stage 2 at the Amgen Tour of California delivered a tight sprint finish…

*Update on Domenico Pozzovivo from SBS’s CyclingCentral: ‘Pozzovivo suffered abrasions and trauma to his face and head, but at this stage he appears to have avoided more serious injuries, including any signs of lesions on the brain. The Ag2R team doctor Roberto Parravicini reports that “he is conscious and lucid but has no memory of the crash,” but appears otherwise in good condition, considering the circumstances.’
