Tro-Bro Léon: A love story

The 32nd edition of Tro-Bro Léon took place on Sunday, with 158 riders lining up at the start. After 204km and 25 secteurs of harsh ribinoù, only 35 riders made it to the finish at Lannilis – it’s just that tough. But there was also a love story in the making …

Records will show that Alexandre Geniez (FDJ) took the win, sprinting to victory from a group of five. However, my favourite story concerned Dan Craven (Europcar), his love for this toughest of races, and his fascination with the piglet prize! I’ll let him tell it in his own inimitable tweet style.

A slight flaw is found

But Dan isn’t to be put off in his quest for the piglet

I LOVE this! First, it’s just brilliant that the organisers take the time to present Dan with a piglet at the start. Second, just look at their faces! These will be some of my favourite images of 2015, for sure.

Dan was one of the many who didn’t finish the race, but it hasn’t put him off one little bit.

Chapeau Dan Craven, chapeau race organisers – Tro-Bro Léon, there REALLY is nothing like it.
