Surely one of the races of the year – any year! If you missed it or if you want to relive it, here with the last 15km or so of yesterday’s rain-soaked Gent-Wevelgem and a very satisfying win for Luca Paolini.
Richie Porte boxed mighty clever, never burnt his matches and, without ever winning a stage, picked up decisive bonus seconds to seize the leader’s jersey on Friday and hang oto it until the finish.
