Paris-Nice finished with a TT, where Richie Porte won both the stage and the overall, over a spent Tony Gallopin. Our recap of the entire race is here. But it was Tirreno-Adriatico that had the most drama today. Drama in the form of blizzard.
Nairo Quintana (Movistar) took the race by the scruff of the neck and left all his rivals behind as he rode up to the summit finish, where you could hardly see him for all the driving snow. Where there’s snow, there’s Quintana plowing through it for a win. Quintana is now the leader overall and if he stays safe tomorrow and doesn’t have a disaster in Tuesday’s ITT, he should be lifting the trident Tuesday afternoon.
