Final km: Paris-Nice Stage 4; Tirreno-Adriatico Stage 2

Just in case you missed either Richie Porte and Geraint Thomas‘ one-two punch in Paris-Nice, Stage 4 or a crash-marred finish in Stage 2 in Tirreno-Adriatico, they’re here for you!

Porte’s attack two kilometres from the summit of Croix de Chaubouret saw only teammate Thomas able to follow. Oh, and a rainbowed Michal Kwiatkowski who gave chase and finished 8secs behind the Sky riders. Bling Matthews ceded the yellow jersey to KwiatKrush, who leads Porte and Thomas by 1sec and 3sec respectively. It’ll be a ding-dong battle today!

Meanwhile, over in Tirreno-Adriatico, it was a domino-effect disaster for Sky. In a blistering bunch sprint, Mark Cavendish (Etixx) dropped his chain just as he was about to kick for the win, causing his back wheel to jump into the path of Elia Viviani, causing the Sky rider to leave much of his skin on the road (but no broken bones, thankfully). Belgian champ Jens Debusschere (Lotto-Soudal) won the sprint; Adriano Malori (Movistar) keeps the leader’s jersey and Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo) moves up to second in the GC.
