I’m a big fan of Nathan Haas – he kicks ass on the bike and delivers great social media. So what does he have up his argyle sleeve for 2015?
Currently riding the Santos Tour Down Under, the Cannondale-Garmin rider would love to improve on his fifth place at last year’s edition. Ending his 2014 season with a win at the Japan Cup Cycle Race, he’s fired up and READY for 2015, as he tells Velonews,
I think a real professional is never happy with where they are, and I’m certainly not happy being a guy that tiptoes around the top results, I want to be the guy that does it all the time and never stops racing for the top.
Success at his home tour is just the start. With his ability on the short sharp climbs, the Ardennes Classics are a huge target, as is the grand ambition of a berth in the Tour de France squad.
I certainly have my fingers crossed for him, and even if things don’t go quite to plan, there is always this to cherish from the talented Mr Haas.
