Congratulation to Charly Wegelius, whose book Domestique: The True Life Ups and Downs of a Tour Pro won SweetSpot’s 2013 Cycling Book of the Year award. Wegelius’s memoirs of life in the peloton got 22% of the public vote, edging out It’s All About The Bike, by Sean Yates, and Ned Boulting’s On The Road Bike: The Search for a Nation’s Cycling Soul for the top prize.

  1. Such a quality rider who seemed to eschew personal glory to work for the team. Was the best GC rider Britain had in that long period between Robert Millar and Bradley Wiggins – 29th in the Giro is not to be sniffed at.
