One fish, two fish, Jens fish, blue fish
It’s not just the fact that his house is being taken over by the Christmas fish, but Jens Voigt‘s life seems to have many fishy facets now. First we find him – and his teammates – tempting fate and putting themselves into the mouth of an Aussie shark. We reckon Jens swam out with a knife in his teeth and picked a fight with the Great White. Jaws never knew what hit him …
The European season one-day opener, GP La Marseillaise, is quickly followed by the stage race L’Etoile de Besseges which, as its name suggests, is raced around the area of Besseges, a former mining town in the Gard department, part of the Languedoc Roussillon region. It too is supported by the La Marseillaise newspaper.
The 42nd edition of the five-day stage race starts tomorrow (Wednesday) and continues until Sunday. This year it features a split stage on the final day – a short road stage in the morning followed by an uphill time trial in the afternoon. Hoping to make it a bit more of a challenge for the sprinters, perhaps?

The sixth edition of the Tour de San Luis exceeded our expectations, despite the lack of a reliable video feed. The countryside looked magnificent and, with the exception of the first day, the weather was just what was ordered – wall-to-wall sunshine.
